Terms of Service

1. Acceptance & eligibility

By installing or using the UPI SoundBox app ("the App", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the App. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use the App.

2. What the App does (and does not do)

UPI SoundBox detects UPI payment notifications on your device and announces them aloud, and shows your transaction history. It is a utility that reads notifications only. It is not a payment, banking, or money-transfer service, it does not process or hold funds, and it does not access your bank account or UPI PIN. Always treat your UPI app and bank statement as the authoritative record of any payment.

3. Not affiliated with UPI providers

UPI SoundBox is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NPCI, BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or any other UPI provider. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. If a third-party app changes how its notifications work, the App's compatibility may change.

4. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for the information you provide and for activity under your account. Keep your device and credentials secure, and notify us of any unauthorised use. You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Delete Account in the App.

5. Acceptable use

• Use the App only for your own legitimate, lawful purposes.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where permitted by law.
• Do not resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App or its paid features.
• Do not interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or its services.

6. Subscriptions & purchases

The App may offer optional paid features or subscriptions. Pricing is shown in the App at the time of purchase, and all payments are processed securely by Razorpay, our payment provider. Auto-renewing plans renew at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date from within the App or by contacting us. Refunds are handled in line with our Refund Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Voice alerts depend on notifications delivered by your UPI apps and your device, and may be delayed, missed, or inaccurate due to factors outside our control (for example, device settings, battery optimisation, or changes by a UPI provider). You should not rely solely on the App to confirm a payment.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a missed, delayed, or incorrect alert, or from reliance on the App in place of your UPI app or bank records. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that harms others.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
