Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the UPI SoundBox app ("the App", "we", "us"), handles your information. By using the App, you agree to this policy. Contact: contact@dotmatrix.in.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect basic details such as your name, mobile number or email, and (optionally) your shop name, to provide and secure the service.
• Payment alert data. To announce payments, the App reads incoming UPI payment notifications and extracts non-sensitive details such as the amount and time. This is used to play voice alerts and to show your transaction history.
• Device & usage data. Limited technical information such as device type, app version and crash logs, to keep the App stable and improve it.
• Preferences. Your settings, such as alert language and volume.

2. What we never collect

UPI SoundBox does not collect or have access to your bank account number, UPI PIN, card details, passwords for your UPI apps, or your money. We do not move, hold, or process funds — the App only announces notifications that your UPI apps generate.

3. Notification access

With your permission, the App uses notification access to detect incoming UPI payment notifications so it can announce them aloud. This processing happens on your device. We do not read or upload the contents of unrelated notifications.

4. How we use your information

• To announce incoming payments and show your transaction history.
• To operate, secure, and improve the App.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud or misuse.

5. Third-party services

• Razorpay (payments). Paid subscriptions are processed securely by Razorpay. Razorpay handles your payment details under its own privacy policy; we receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your full card or bank details.
• Analytics & crash reporting. We may use trusted providers to understand aggregate usage and diagnose crashes. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

6. Permissions

The App requests notification access to detect UPI payment notifications, and may request other permissions strictly needed for its features. Permissions are used only for the feature they enable, and you can revoke them anytime in your device settings.

7. Deleting your account & data

You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App. See our account deletion page for step-by-step instructions.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

9. Children's privacy

The App is intended for business use by adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
